The CrossGlobe Group Announces Organizational Changes

At The CrossGlobe Group, we are always working to be the best possible logistics company, and we are proud of our reputation as a leading provider of high-quality and reliable drayage services. We would not be where we are today without dedicated and experienced employees, and with that in mind, we are happy to announce the addition of two new members to our group sales team who we feel will make an immediate positive impact on the company.

Joshua Parsley joins The CrossGlobe Group as the director of business development, where he will focus on transport and logistics sales. After graduating from Hampden Sydney College in 2007, Josh started his career as a transportation representative for C.H. Robinson Worldwide before quickly moving into the role of national sales account manager. Josh then joined FAC Food Logistics as an account executive, where he expanded his experience with frozen and refrigerated transportation. We are happy to now have Josh on the team at CrossGlobe!

In addition, Mark Mulvey has joined The CrossGlobe Group as our director of North American sales. A graduate of The Citadel and a former military officer, Mark has over 13 years of experience in ocean liner sales and intermodal logistics. He has previously held positions with Maersk Line, Bridge Terminal Transport, CMA CGM, and Horizon Lines, with a primary focus on import retail, apparel, furniture, and textile client base. In his new role with The CrossGlobe Group, Mark will have sales responsibility for intermodal drayage.

Bill Franks, the president and CEO of TheCrossGlobe Group, was excited to welcome both Josh and Mark to the team.

"I am confident their strong sales experience, leadership skills, and positive customer relationships will serve us well to continue offering a level of superior service," Franks said.

Although TheCrossGlobe Group is adding two highly-qualified employees in Josh and Mark, we are also sorry to announce that Eddie Rolon will be leaving TheCrossGlobeGroup to concentrate on the development of his own company – Advantage III Logistics Consulting – on a full-time basis. We wish him the best with his new endeavors. However, Eddie will continue to work with The CrossGlobe Group as a consultant, helping to develop new business across all divisions.

Monson, MA Drayage Facility Changes Hands

The CrossGlobe Group announced late last month that its Monson, MA facility will be transferred to the Walsh Transportation Group, which will take over operations of the Boston warehouse distribution center by March 1.

The transition is currently in progress, and we believe that the Walsh Transportation Group will continue to provide the same outstanding level of service that our customers have come to expect over the years. The Walsh Transportation Group has a proven track record for excellent customer service and will be able to effectively handle the Monson drayage facility with the same level of commitment and success as The CrossGlobe Group has exhibited.

The CrossGlobe Group’s current marketing agreement with the Walsh Transportation Group will
remain in place, and we will be working diligently during the upcoming month to ensure
that the current customer and vendor base experience a seamless transition.

Evelyn Pennell and her team will continue to handle the daily activities of the facility, which is one of the top Boston warehouse distribution centers in the area.

Bill Franks, the president and CEO of The CrossGlobe Group, said the transition will allow The CrossGlobe Group to put a greater focus on its port-based logistics services.

“We are very pleased to be passing the baton at our Monson facility to the Walsh Transportation Group and believe that our customers are in great hands with such a deeply experienced operator," Franks said. "This agreement allows us to focus our efforts exclusively on our port-based logistics strategy. I am thankful for the hard work and dedication of our Monson based employees and I am confident that this change will benefit both them and the business."

Jerry Gordon, the vice-president of sales and marketing for the Walsh Transportation Group, said he was excited about the changes taking place at the Monson drayage and logistics center.

“The Monson Operation will enable WTG to extend our portfolio of services into an area we have long been looking for, the connection of transload operations from boxcar to 48 state Intermodal and OTR Truckload operations," Gordon said. "We are excited to be able to have the wand passed from CrossGlobe Group to WTG and feel confident that this partnership will benefit everyone."
